Facial Devices in the Aesthetics Program


Technology-Enhanced Skincare Treatments.


This course introduces students to the safe and effective use of facial devices commonly utilized in professional esthetics. Students learn the purpose and benefits of technologies such as galvanic current, ozone vapor, ultrasonic spatula, high frequency, facial ultrasound, vacuum therapy, and microdermabrasion. Understanding how each device interacts with the skin allows for enhanced treatment results and targeted skincare solutions.

Safety, Indications, and Professional Use. A strong emphasis is placed on device safety, skin indications, and contraindications. Students develop the ability to select the appropriate device based on skin analysis, treatment goals, and client tolerance. Instruction includes proper settings, sanitation protocols, and adherence to manufacturer and state board guidelines, ensuring services are performed responsibly and within the esthetic scope of practice.
