Nutrition in the Aesthetics Program

The Role of Nutrition in Skin Health.

This course introduces students to the fundamental principles of nutrition and its direct impact on skin health and overall wellness. Students explore how vitamins, minerals, hydration, and macronutrients support healthy skin function, aging prevention, and cellular repair. Understanding the connection between what the body receives internally and what is reflected externally is essential for holistic aesthetic care.

Informed Guidance Within the Esthetic Scope. Students learn how to discuss nutritional influences responsibly, recognizing the difference between general wellness education and medical or dietary advice. Emphasis is placed on identifying nutritional deficiencies that may affect the skin, understanding lifestyle habits, and knowing when a client should be referred to a licensed healthcare professional. This approach reinforces ethical practice and client safety.
